Peace, tranquility and nature abound in this cottage located on a 70-hectare estate headed by the gloriously restored 17th century Quinta do Esteval, now a lovely country house hotel. The estate encompasses vineyards, acres of soft hills crammed with evergreens and cork trees, a river and plenty of wildlife.

This cottage marries the comforts of the new world with the look and feel of the old. A nice mix of contemporary and antique artwork and traditional country fabrics in modern colors set the tone for a relaxing rural stay. Lovely architectural details abound like the deep window seats. Living and dining rooms open to a shared courtyard with both shaded and sunny spaces, ideal for a hearty country breakfast or a pre-dinner cocktail.

Cottage guests are invited to use the hotel facilities including the two pools, restaurants, spa, horse riding center and concierge.

Larger groups may wish to rent the neighboring 2- and 3-bedroom cottages for an 8-bedroom option, sharing outside patios and gardens.
