A million thank yous for a job well done. You promised to make our time at in Douro unforgettable. My friends, you more than succeeded. The experience was extraordinary, magical and, in many ways, life changing. There is nothing quite like the Douro Valley, its solitude and beauty, its pristine river and rolling vineyards. All of it goes down like a fine wine. The villa, cuisine, and service were all SUBLIME. And our hosts? We loved them! Nuno and his family are very special. They love their country and clearly enjoy sharing the slice of heaven they’ve created along the Douro. Our day at this Quinto, especially the wining and dining, was equally memorable. And the views...OMG!!!! I am begging you not to tell anyone else about any of this. I’m a progressive liberal and believe in the social contract of sharing BUT...do we have to? Can’t we just keep all this to ourselves? Please. Anyway, I think you get the picture. It was very difficult to leave; especially since I’m afraid of heights and found the access road harrowing.
