Located in a secluded setting next to a verdant forest, you take a winding road from the Quinta do Ventozelo hotel facilities through the vineyards to reach its tranquil hillside perch.

Originally built as a colonial-style hunting lodge in the 18th Century, this Douro luxury home was refurbished for the first time in the 1990s, enjoying regular renovations over time. Inside, six en-suite bedrooms, lounge areas, a library and a grand dining room envelop a central courtyard which allows light to bathe modern classic interiors. The fireplace is both a functional and ornamental feature, depending on the time of year you stay.

The highlight here is most certainly the pool terrace with its panoramic views of the Douro Valley River as well as vinicultural activities from wine tasting to vineyard picnics to tours of the museum.
