Set at the gateway to Portugal’s Douro Valley, with open views of the Tâmega River, this heritage villa reflects the region’s authenticity while offering contemporary comfort.
Recently renovated, it retains its original stone façade and handcrafted details, surrounded by landscaped gardens that extend toward the forested hills.

The swimming pool is the centerpiece of a serene outdoor area designed for slow, sunlit days, complete with shaded lounges, a Balinese bed, and a lanai-style gazebo. Two covered dining areas provide inviting spaces for long gatherings. One features a generous table and charcoal barbecue, while the other offers a more intimate setting ideal for relaxed alfresco meals.

Created with families in mind, this property offers endless outdoor fun with a trampoline, football goal, and footvolley court, while direct river access invites guests to enjoy kayaking, private boating, and a variety of water activities.

This riverside retreat captures the essence of the Douro, where authenticity, tranquility, and modern comfort come together naturally.

The interiors reveal the home’s heritage character through restored stone walls, wood beams, and handmade tile accents.

The main living room, both rustic and refined, opens to the garden through wide arched doors that fill the space with natural light. The adjoining dining area maintains the home’s welcoming rhythm, with seating for family meals that linger into the evening. A fully equipped kitchen combines modern appliances with polished stone surfaces and traditional cabinetry.

Outdoors, a large, covered terrace doubles as an open-air dining room, framed by river views and the sound of rustling trees. Beyond it, multiple lounging spaces spread across the garden, inviting moments of rest near the pool or in shaded nooks designed for reading and conversation.

Every area connects seamlessly, offering comfort and understated charm suited to relaxed family living.

Featuring six elegant bedrooms, each with its own character and comfort, four include ensuite bathrooms, while both top-floor bedrooms feature an adjacent bathroom each.

The main suite overlooks the Tâmega River and opens onto a private patio that captures the shifting daylight. Other rooms face the gardens and are furnished in a classic style reflecting the home’s heritage.
