This house is a commodious home with a peaceful history. As probably the oldest home on the Tenuto di Merlo estate, it was once a church and the regular Sunday worship place of the local farmers. The original church site to one side of the property has been converted into a garden room with patio doors accessing the lovely outdoor terraces. The original font feature can still be found and now adds a nice element to a sun-filled room with cozy rattan furniture.
This charming, vine-clad house really feels like a home with its high, beamed ceilings and large rooms filled with lovely and abundant antiques. As you climb the stone steps that have been etched by stories from the past, you can feel the history and welcoming ambiance of this unique home.

Arrive in a large, L-shaped living/dining room with 2 sitting areas, a fireplace, sisal rugs and two sunny yellow armchairs and the atmosphere has been set. This is a home that has been lived in, enjoyed and will continue to welcome visitors through its lovely old doors.
The living here is bright, sunny and undoubtedly indoor/outdoor with plenty of al fresco places from which to enjoy the peace, tranquility and beautiful countryside. The home also offers multiple places – indoors and out – to curl up with a good book, sip a glass of wine or just to sit and take in the magnificent countryside.
A lovely home to enjoy with family and friends or to host a luxurious party in rural surroundings.
All bedrooms are furnished in a happy mix of antique dressers and large furniture pieces, comfortable upholstered chairs and bedding. There is plenty of rustic country house appeal here with high ceilings, wooden beams, uneven floors, fun fabrics and lovely garden and valley views.
